Laura + Chris

It was a perfect day! I’m so excited that things are finally cooling off a bit. I don’t remember paying as much attention to the weather before I became a photographer. I also used to like summer time more than winter but after shooting for 8 hours in the dead of summer for countless weddings, I’m singing a new song now. December can’t come soon enough!

So here is Chris and Lauren. They were so much fun to photograph. Chris, like most of us, was not liking being in front of the camera at the beginning, but by the end he was a pro. They were super laid back and easy going and were even up for coming out to San Marcos, which I always love. Not as much traffic as DT Austin and so many great spots within walking distance of each other. Here are some from their shoot…

I love this one.

…and this one.

The Plunkett Family

I had the wonderful privilage yesterday to photograph a family that is very dear to us. I met Celeste and Lucy at the San Marcos public library. We were both there for craft day. Were were in the process of looking for a church home and Celeste invited us to their church and then to their small group. We have been going to church with them ever since. She also inspires me to be more GREEN. I actually feel guilty now when I throw my water bottle in the trash and not the recycling bin.
Now on to the pictures. There were a lot of favorites so I posted more than normal. I couldn’t help myself…

Jill + Deron

It was 9a.m. when Katie showed up at my house to start getting her makeup all set and ready to make Jill shine for her Engagement shoot. Katie does an awesome job! Since meeting Katie and seeing all of the great products that Mary Kay has to offer I have begun using all MK products myself and love it!!!

I had asked Deron, as he sat so patiently on my couch while Jill got her makup done, how he and Jill met. He said, more or less, that he found a picture of Jill in her mom’s wallet. Why he was in her mom’s wallet I do not know. Jill’s mom worked with Deron and knowing what a sweet guy Deron is, she gave him Jill’s phone #. The rest is history.

For our photoshoot we went to Gruene. Here are some from our day…

Sweet Little Madalyn

It was so so good to finally meet miss Madalyn yesterday. Her mom and dad have worked with my mom for many years now. About a year and a half ago they gave birth to sweet little Madalyn and just a few months after her birth they found out that she had cancer. After many months of being at the hospital and countless surgeries they believe they have gotten it all! Madalyn has been on my heart for so long now it was refreshing for me to meet her yesterday and to see her running around, talking, and just being a kid. Karen and Eric it was such a pleasure to photograph you and your beautiful little girl. Thank you! Here she is in all her cuteness…

No, she wasn’t screaming at me to stop taking her pictures, this is her laugh. It was so cute it was almost like she was trying to force a laugh. Her mom called it her courtesy laugh. So cute!

No child is complete without a little nose picking!

Check out those BABY BLUE eyes!

I loved their idea to bring their LiveStrong shirts for the pictures.

Womble Family

I was so excited to finally meet this wonderful family. Abbe had contacted me when she first got pregnant in hopes of doing some maternity pictures but since she lives in Dallas we were never able to meet up to do them. Avery is now 6 months old and as cute as laid back as they come. In trying to get him to sit up on his own he bumped his head and still never made a peep. They were such a joy to photograph, and check out those baby blue eyes! I couldn’t get enough. Here are some from our Dallas session….
